A Royal Welcome
As the 48th Royal Lady of the Autumn Leaves, I wish to say, “Herzich
Wilkommen,” a heartfelt welcome to Leavenworth. A visit to The Bavarian
Village of Leavenworth will have you too feeling like “royalty.”
Our Bavarian Village has a wide variety of possibilities for our
visitors to enjoy. Leavenworth is truly a special community nestled on
the eastern slopes of the incredible Cascade Mountains. Here we are
blessed with four distinct seasons that offer a wide variety of outdoor
activities. We are delighted to offer you international dining choices,
unique shopping experiences, and a variety of lodging opportunities as
well. While you’re with us, experience a horse drawn carriage ride
through town. Take a leisurely stroll in one or both of our beautiful
parks. Sit in the Front Street Park by the Gazebo or meander through our
Art in the Park and view the many wonderful professional and amateur
artists’ creations on display. Our Leavenworth Summer Theater offers
three different plays in their indoor and outdoor theaters for your
enjoyment. A tour of the Upper Valley Museum at Leavenworth and the Barn
Beach Reserve also offer unique experiences. We are privileged to also
offer many wine tasting opportunities. Our community is constantly
evolving and creating new ways for our special guests to enjoy their
time with us.
The Bavarian Village of Leavenworth presents a diversity of festivals
for you to enjoy, the oldest of which is The Washington State Autumn
Leaf Festival. The changing colors of the Autumn leaves in all their
splendor are something special to behold. Come help us celebrate this
year’s theme, “80 Years of Winter Sports in Leavenworth,” September 23rd
– 25th. View our parade with its many floats, bands, and numerous other
groups from throughout the Pacific Northwest. Partake of the food booths
on the street, the music on the bandstand, and the dancing in the
street.
Whether you come by plane, train, bus, car, or another means of
transportation, I truly believe you will create many wonderful memories
for yourself and your family in The Bavarian Village of Leavenworth
